As many of you may already know. Blizzard has finally set a release date for Mists of Panderia (aka WoW MoP). The official release date is September 25th, 2012. Top Gold Making Tips

Find out the raiding times of the biggest raiding guilds on your server.  Most of the larger raiding guilds on any server will have times posted on a website. Try looking up the top guilds on http://www.wowprogress.com

Know the number one rule of gold making: BUY LOW, SELL HIGH! Now, simply repeat that until it is ingrained in your brain.

Know when to buy goods. The best time to buy goods will generally be midday on Monday-Wednesday. The logic behind this is that most auctions are 48 hours, and the most people are on during the weekend. So, if you use that to your advantage, you can be buying goods when the sellers are selling cheap (there are tons of people undercutting) and there are not that many people to buy all of the goods you are looking to buy.

Know when to sell goods  The best time to sell goods is one of two times. 1) sell goods like enchantments, Dusts, Gems (raw and cut), Glyphs and the like on days when the large raiding guilds are raiding. And 2) WEEKENDS! This is when the most people are online, and therefore the best time to get your goods out there. However, if you are selling things that are relatively easy to come by, you can bet you will be undercut a ton.

Get to know your realms bulk buyers and sellers Know your buyers so you can sell them things like gems, dusts, ore, herbs, and leather. You will have to give it to them cheaper, but at least it is all sold within a few minutes. Get to know your bulk sellers if you are going to be crafting items. You will likely have a lower profit margin, but you will also be getting more crafted items sold in a shorter amount of time since you will not have to go out and farm materials.

Learn how to market Many of the rules of the market in Azeroth are the same in the real world. Treat your customers fairly (i.e. if you are selling via trade chat, don't cheat your customers out of money or product.....) You will get hated from the second you do it and not many people (or at least not many return customers) will use your services.

Know the rule of Supply and demand When supply is up, demand is down (lower your prices). When Supply is down, demand is up (raise your prices).

Know your consumers When you are selling something relatively common, don't undercut by a gold, all you need to do is undercut by a single copper. This will give you enough of a boost to raise you to the top of the list (when sorted by price low-high, which is what most people do anyway) while still keeping your profits up. It is the same thing that goes in the real world. Because $19.99 just feels easier to spend than $20

Finally, Return customers are awesome  This goes along with the basic rules of any business, lots of new customers are great, but return customers will keep Beer Basted Crocolisk tail on the virtual table. Keep them coming back by being a good seller and try to "market" yourself by letting them know what you do and to keep you in mind. What I say to my customers is "Keep me in mind whenever you need [leather, ore, gems, enchants, etc.]" and that is how I get people to keep coming back. But my main way of making money is buying raw materials from bulk sellers and selling the crafted items at a profit (hey, skill is worth something....).

Salty Minxii-- Fishing in World of Warcraft

So, many people believe that fishing (and cooking for that matter) is a waste of time in World of Warcraft. In fact, many people think of fishing in real life as excruciatingly boring, so why, then, would one even want to begin VIRTUAL fishing? well, this post is about fishing in WoW and how to get started and how to level your fishing skill to 545.

First, let me start out by saying this, fishing is actually a easy (albeit long) way to level your cooking. However, it can actually be quite profitable as well. Everyone knows that it is much easier to buy a simple massive turkey leg, but why not make your food help you out even more. Food buffs stack with potions and elixir buffs, so what raider wouldn't want to add an extra 90 agility (dodge, parry, strength, intellect, spirit, etc) to give them that extra boost to the top of the charts? Leveling your fishing can help you out with your cooking leveling. Also, what level 85 geared tank wants to go out to kill boars to get level up their cooking? You can make money getting enough fish to level up your fishing and cooking in two ways. 1) you can sell the cooked food on the Auction house at an extra cost for your time and skill. and 2) you can sell the uncooked fish to high level characters that want to level their cooking skill without any effort. You can try getting enough fish of different levels by fishing up enough fish to level cooking from level 1-545. Another way you can make money through fishing is to sell the things you get through fishing. Non-combat pets, and rare items are some of the things you can get through fishing.

Fishing is one of those professions that is easily leveled. You can actually read a book while fishing in WoW. I have actually fished while at work (but I work in a family business, so this is not recommended.). It is so easy, you could let your kids do it (my friends 6 year old gets a kick out of the bobber....). There are many ways to level fishing depending on what your end goal is. You can fish in almost any water source and stand there and fish until you reach 545. I suggest if you want to get your salty title, to fish in the Dalaran well. I got everything I needed for my fishing title except for getting all of the coins and I had to stand there for hours before I got all of them (plus its nice to not get ganked while in your fishing gear....). To start fishing, simply go to a fishing trainer and buy a fishing pole from a nearby vendor, and put your "fishing" button on an easily accessible key. That is it. Seriously.

Life as a female gamer

Being a female gamer is not all fun and games.

1) Some male gamers seem to think that female gamers all play naked.....

2) The other extreme is the gamers that think that all gamer chicks are absolutely nasty.....

3) Most people think that as the "pretty gamer girl" I play on the alliance....why people think this, I have no idea...as a matter of fact, I play on the Horde. My main is a blood elf, but not because I like the racial abilities. However, I have characters in each race on the horde.

4) I don't quite understand why female gamers think they are the only female playing World of Warcraft. With a game with so many players, the chances of you being the only female player are so slim it is ridiculous.

5) Guys that play the game refuse to believe that I am actually a pretty decent player...they always seem to say something along the lines of "here let me show you how its done"...etc.... I may not be the number one player in the world, I know how to tank a damn dragon....easy peasy lemon squeezy.

6) All of the people that hear that I play horde think that I am some crazy lady that has "anger issues". While in reality, I am a well adjusted woman in my 20's.

Please don't underestimate female players. We actually are pretty rad. Now, I'm not talking about the girls that play to be the "queen geek". I am talking about the girls that are legitimately awesome and enjoy playing video games just as much as all the other awesome geeks out there.

note: Gamer girls are pretty cool to date...because we can tell you all about our adventures in Azeroth as well as helping you install more ram in your computer :) Plus, we look pretty snappy with our headsets on :D
